As Roku fetish porn continues to broaden its reach more and more fetish content is being made available to its streaming market. One of the first elite mistresses to tap into this market was Julie Simone, AVN Hall of Fame Director. With over 300 digital movie titles to her credit we were able to catch up with the award winning femdom to discuss a few topics for inquiring minds. When Clips On Demand launched in 2013, they reached out to a few elite mistresses who could stack their catalog with great Roku fetish porn long before the channel went into development. Julie Simone, being the business savvy Domme she is, saw a unique opportunity to deliver great content to a new market that was in its early stand up phase.
Since 2014 the streaming market has exploded to 70,000,000 plus as bondage, female domination, spanking, flogging, smoking, corporal punishment, facesitting, and ballbusting, have become highly sought after categories in Roku fetish porn. Mistress Julie Simone took time out of her busy schedule to give us a glimpse of into the life of an elite mistress.
RA: So you're an AVN Hall of Famer! What earned you those prestigious credentials?
JS: : For starters I had a great publicist in Erica Icon, The RubPr. I can't say exactly what made them give me this award, but my work earlier in my career was very experimental and different from the more commercially viable work others in the genre were doing.
RA: How old were you when you began to explore kink and before becoming a bondage aficionado?
JS: I discovered fetish through modeling. It wasn't until I was in my mid 20s that I became aware this was a thing, though my mother has told me that I used to tie my dolls to the doorknob and I beat up boys at recess so...
RA: You bound your subjects like few people I've seen. When you're done its like a work of art. Please explain what goes into bondage play that allows subjects to be tied up for long periods of time?
JS: Thank you :) I like to think of my bondage bottoms as participants in human sculpture. The key to maintaining bondage for a long period of time is staying off the nerves, which is hard to do the more rope one adds to the body.
RA: Lately some of your videos have become a bit more intense, to say the least. Do your clients desire the heavy handedness or are they that worthless?
JS: I don't believe in the "slaves are worthless" concept. If someone is truly worthless why would I spend my time with him? What does that say about someone who gives her time to people with no value? That's a big misconception about Femdom - that the women involved hate men. These activities are done with love and the participants consent to the activities and often even enjoy them!
For me personally, the heavier content is more interesting, it gives me more or a rush and is a more intense energy exchange.
RA: Excellent points. As a fan I can sometimes feel that energy when its authentic. But when it appears to be rehearsed or over choreographed I feel cheated. What can Mistresses and Femdoms do to perfect their artwork? Because at the end of the day it comes down to showmanship.
JS: Editing my own work helped me improve as a performer. When someone else is editing out your mistakes / bad moves, you're going to keep doing them. Shooting other Dommes or being in double Domme scenes also help one experience other energies, learn new styles, techniques and help one's confidence. Confidence and being comfortable with what you're doing - the type of content, your knowledge of it, and your connection to it, are the main factors in whether or not a scene feels authentic. Lots of people film things because they're popular, but if they're not actually into; I think the fans can feel it.
RA: How often do you travel?
JS: It really depends. At the present time I have gone back to college to finish my degree so I am traveling much less.
RA: Do your biggest fans often book you when on the road?
JS: I would say at least 95% of the people who book me have seen several of my videos...
RA: For those who might be wondering, how does an Elite Mistress choose the cities and countries they visit?
JS: Ideally one chooses the cities with the most interesting / most fun clientele. For me that's always been NYC. I have traveled to Europe for events and will travel to other cities with expenses paid.
RA: What led to your move from the New York area to the midwest?
JS: My mother is getting older and I wanted to be close to family. I love cities but the noise and chaos
of it all was starting to get to me. Now I live in the country where
it's quiet and one can see the stars at night. When I get bored, I can
always travel.
JS: I don't session where I live and am enjoying having that separation at the moment.
