All the hype for the new Roku 4 may actually be warranted. The next installment of the highly anticipated streaming player is said to have a faster quad-core processor. This would be ideal to support 4K and Ultra high definition resolution and gaming. A clear sign they are prepared to go head-to-head with the new Apple TV released a few weeks ago.
Earlier this month developers were given a heads up of changes to the SDK materials, as per usual. For roku adult channels the new Roku 4 means UltraHD and HD videos will stream just as well as they did on Roku 3. The 1.5GB of RAM is said to be enough processing power to deliver 1080p and 2160p at 25Mbps - 1.5Mbps for standard definition.
